Hi there,
First, I want to thank you for stopping by. Sex Trafficking is not an easy or comfortable subject to talk about or read about.
Second, I want to tell you that I never planned to start a blog on sex trafficking. I have avoided it for months, but I can’t any more.
Third, I want to tell you who I am. My name is Christine O’Donnell and I’m a journalist. I’ve been working as a TV news reporter since 2008 and have covered a range of topics. Nearly a year ago I covered a story on “human sex trafficking” for FOX11 News in Los Angeles that changed my life.
On February 14th, 2016 I did a story for our 5:00 p.m. show about the arrest of alleged pimp Ariel “Shy” Guizar who was charged with trafficking a 15-year-old girl and two 19-year-olds and ever since I have learned more about the sex industry, its victims, it’s survivors and that vast grey area in between.
As of this blog post, November 30th, 2016, the case against Guizar, his alleged madam Jocelyn Contreras Alvarez and alleged bottom girl Aracelli Mendoza Alvarez is still open. They are still in jail awaiting trail.
Over the past several months I have spoken to numerous victims of trafficking, some who claim to have been victimized by the people above and others who say they were victimized by someone else.
This blog is meant to be an open dialogue to talk about “human sex trafficking” and how people right here in the USA are being recruited into the industry while their parents are in the other room. I will shared details about trafficking cases and the people involved from all angles.
The information shared here is true, however I will change some names and details to protect victims.
Thanks for stopping by and don’t hesitate to contact me if you have a story or something on this topic you want to share.
My children are also being sex trafficked.
